Traplet Release New DVD's & Books

TrapletTraplet Publications, based in Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, has published three new books on radio-controlled model helicopters and a new DVD on Small Rotors. The new products for RC helicopter enthusiasts are available from November 2007.

The three new model helicopter book titles are:
R/C Model Helicopters: A Guide for Beginners
by Malcolm Messiter;
Building Scale Helicopters
by Peter Wales and
3D Helicopter Flying
by Russ Deakin.

The books cover all aspects of RC and Scale Model Helicopters for a wide range of modellers, from those who are beginners, just starting out in this fascinating hobby, to those who are more experienced model helicopter enthusiasts, wanting to practise their skills in building to scale or in performing 3D aerobatic flying manoeuvres.

The R/C Model Helicopters: A Guide for Beginners book is written in a light-hearted style and covers everything the beginner needs to know: from choosing or building the model to installing the components of the radio. It covers electric power as well as internal combustion engines and includes tips and advice on buying, building, flying and maintaining model helicopters. The author was a complete beginner himself until recently, but now flies regularly in national F3C competitions. (Price £12.95/$24.95 + p&p)

Peter Wales, author of the Building Scale Helicopters book, won his first Top Gun Trophy for helicopters in 2001 and went on to win the US Nationals for RC Helicopters for the following three years, before retiring from competition to focus on promoting the art of scale helicopters. (Price (£12.95/$24.95 + p&p)

In the 3D Helicopter Flying book, author Russ Deakin covers the many skills that need to be learnt to take part in 3D helicopter flying, an extremely difficult and challenging aspect of model helicopter flight. (Price £14.95/$29.95 + p&p)

In the Small Rotors DVD, join Nigel Cartwright as he introduces the wide range of model helicopters available from low-cost beginner’s models to powerful advanced helicopters, capable of full 3D aerobatics. (Price £12.95/$19.95 +p&p)
